As hot as Miami is, it’s always to great to find a cold treat. The shameless snow bird in me finds my way down south every Winter, and in my escape I was fortunate to find Michael’s Genuine Food & Drink. Located in Miami’s sleek Design District, this place came highly recommended. James Beard Award-winning chef/owner Michael Schwartz shares his passion for food in a menu that changes by season, with an emphasis on fresh, local ingredients.

The Home Brew Sundae with malted caramel, pretzels and marshmallow offered a variety of taste and texture. At first bite your teeth sink right through the top layer of airy marshmallow to the salted crunch of pretzel, that blended beautifully with the sweet and sticky perfection of caramel. The decadence didn’t stop there, your second bite with reach you to Michael’s home brewed ice cream, mixing all the wonderful flavors from above. Hands down one the of the best Sundae’s we’ve ever had.

Since the menu changes seasonably, we keep tabs on the next menu and you could too. After all, I heard last season’s Pumpkin Pie Home Brew Sundae was nothing short of amazing.
